Works, but unplayable

If I start the game in fullscreen mode, the mouse cursor moves extremely fast, like a pixel's worth of movement on the slowest sensitivity moves it across the entire screen. I'm unable to get past the title screen because of this. Resolution settings match my monitor's.

However, if I start it in windowed mode, the window starts up half off screen and is unmovable. The game runs just fine, but I can't alt+enter it to fullscreen, or win+up arrow, or any shortcut. Clicking on the header when I'm alt+tabbed just shoves the window down further, making it impossible to see.

Any help would be great. I'm running on Windows 10, btw.

I think it's just the luck of the draw, I installed it on Windows 10 and it runs perfectly fine, yet other people seem to be having game-breaking issues with it. The only advice I can give you is to try reinstalling, or verifying the game's cache. I'm sorry, it's sad that such an amazing game is broken for so many people.

Hey....that was not a very helpful, in fact it was downright sarcastic? Hopefully u might offer some constructive suggestions?? I also have Windows Ten, The game worked perfectly fine for me...until I changed the graphics, now I can't run the game because of similar problem??? I have been trying to get my curser to options settings...so I can reset the mouse to default settings, which allows the game to run perfectly fine! Any suggestions how I can get this to happen, and don't be sarcastic! Thks

My problem is because the curser is so unstable I can't get it to click on the options button, where I would be able to reset the graphics back to default settings which was working for me, before I tried to upgrade the quality of the graphics?? Any ideas, would really appreciate it!!!

can change res in settings_default.cfg.. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Penumbra Black Plague\redist\config

Screen Width="1920" Height="1080" from the 800x whatever it was.

maybe make read only when done :)

update: also try checking the box "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" in the applications compatibility tab. that let me finally change my menu. and made my mouse work.
