Thanks for listing this finally. Your game has alot of potential. I hope you do right by the steam community and list the demo in the store along with a note that this is not a final release of the game.

We are going to try and get the demo up. However steam staff apparently don't work weekends... :(

Thanks for the demo, I'm interested in it but not sure if it's for me or not yet so this is a great help.

Downloading now (FYI, clicking your link takes me to a 404, I had to type it manually). I was about to download Evil Genius when I saw this, fingers crossed... :)

I don't see why playing the demo would help. It seems people are having problems all throught the full game.

Also your hyperlink is broken. Do you guys check anything before you put it on Steam?

Heh... apparently they don't.

If you had put "TRY THE DEMO, UNFINISHED GAME" on the Steam page where you are robbing people without telling them about it being unfinished, then I would say good on you. Half the people coming to the Game Hub already bought your game and are looking for answers.

So I played the demo's tutorials and I like it. Thanks for adding the demo, it helped me with my decision.

Sometimes using your own brain helps a bit Brasolis. Before I buy a game, I check out any reviews or previews, and the developer's website for more information. There is an old saying "look before you leap". People should follow that rule before blaming others for their own bad judgement.

Ok, I've played the demo a few times now and my verdict (for what it's worth):
You need a manual/some form of instructions, there is a lot that looks like it would be great if I knew how to make it work (soldiers, I bet you can move them manually without using patrol, but how?)
£10 is also too much, I would snap this up at a fiver, but at the moment I'm not prepared to risk a tenner (well, £8 on sale) on what seems to be a game I will spend hours playing without realising there is a better way to do something, plus it seems it is unreliable, especially on 7 64bit.

Drop it to a fiver, please!

I fixed the link, thanks.

Although I will completely agree with you that it was definitely my fault for taking a leap before looking, that is aside from the point. Steam should be treated no differently from a retail store. The problem I see is that if I walked into an EBGames or Walmart or WHEREVER and they had this game on a shelf for sale and the box had no mention of it not even being complete, people who bought it would be in an uproar. Regardless of the game being good/bad/playable or whatever your critisisms may be, the core issue is that I should not be able to purchase this without seeing that it is even incomplete. As is, you are misleading consumers. Think of it this way, the developer made a concious descision when setting up their Steam store page to NOT include that information. If you bought the game and love it, you were still misled.

You ignored half the post you're responding to. Why is nothing said about updating the steam store page to make sure to say that this game is sitll in alpha?
