Runs for 3 secs then pauses for 3 secs
Has anyone ever had it where the game runs for abouts three seconds, then pauses for about three seconds, and then repeats the cycle? I have played for over 200 hours, and this is the first time I experienced this.

Well, I don't know that it was a full 3 seconds but yes, I was experiencing quite a lot of that shortly before I stopped playing the game. It's my understanding that these problems arise from having too many objects on the ground. This includes roads, walls, roofs, decorations, dropped loot, well... pretty much anything you can think of. If you start experiencing this problem the best advice I can give you is to start by making sure you have all your loot picked up off the floor and placed in barrels/chests. If it's still a problem, make a save and try destroying roads/decorations/structures you don't need to see if things improve.

Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you. The game wasn't really designed very well as I've heard people mention having this problem without even reaching a 30% load on a single core of their processor. It seems the code itself just can't handle too many objects or has a tendency to bug out.

do you have all that just laying on the ground? Yeah, this could take a while...

Actually all but the iron is contained; only have about 250 iron contained. That might be the prob, and also hundred of pigs, maybe thousands.

Yeah, that could be the source of your problems. I'm not sure why inanimate objects on the ground bog the game down so much but that seems to be a problem it has. Good luck getting the game to run properly again. It'll certainly take a while with the game effectively moving at half speed.

I have 52 townies, and just put out 62 new barrels. As they fill them up. I do indeed see a decrease in the pause time. Thanks Cyborgt.

You're welcome.
