Does no news mean something?
Anyone hear anything about the game?

mr bigdad Nov 30, 2012 @ 6:54am
Yeah, I do think so too.

So far, I've no evidence to believe that this game will ever be "updated" or "finished". Cash grab thus far.

I'd love for the Devs to prove me wrong .............

Me too. Ive said it before and ill say it again. Prove me wrong with deeds and not with words. Until now, they havent proven anything with deeds, just words.

You may be fretting prematurely. While I agree the situation regarding the release on Steam was handled very badly, it has been less than a month since Steam release. Looking at their update history you can see that they don't usually release more often than once a month.

Like you, my faith in the dev's has been shaken by this release snafu but I don't think we need to panic just yet.
mr bigdad Nov 30, 2012 @ 10:34am
No need to panic indeed. But they should have had beter and more releases since the launch. Especially that they know that the game is in such a bad shape.

Sure, I would like more frequent updates, but I don't see any reason to expect them just because they posted it on Steam. Truthfully, after this release fiasco, I am just hoping they continue to make the same progress as before and don't bail on the game.

So, as an individual, you work hard for years on a product, finally getting it realeased, and you feel they are not entitled to a vacation? I think thats a little BS on the communities part. Again its a 2 or 3 man team, very small.

Please stop harshing on the devs, this type of attitude can very well PUSH them into not releasing anything further. Why should they cater to a bunch of whiny brats that are never happy?

With all due respect, the dev's have created the situation on this forum through their own actions/inactions and they own the consequences. I find it rediculous that you promote a policy of "stop harshing the devs" as if the responsibility for further game development rested upon the shoulders of people who disagree with the companies business practices and/or feel cheated by those same actions.

1) the dev that went on Vaca was the graphic artist so ya some bug fixs should of been done during that time.
2) there was a Tweet yesterday from Xavi stating there are going to try for more language support in the next update.

That is little disappointing for me.. but hey at least they didn't run away, and are still working on the game

if it was a 3 man team. then thats all fine and good. but then why did they release it? the community as a whole has a agreed that this game was not in any finished state. yet they continued to post the game during a sale and take peoples money. which leads to the point that all these "brats" are "complaining" about, dont take my money if your game isnt finished AND if youre not gonna supply any sort of short term patch, or even a shred of news. the dev brought this communal hostility on themselves with the lack of info / effort provided. i hope they return to dev and make this the great game it could be. but its a terrible game as of now.

The STEAM community* Fixt.

Also, you are constantly like everyone else, missing the fact that it IS playable, it IS NOT an alpha stage game. Just like any game, it has bugs, ppl say workaround, I say they are stupid. I have not once had ANY of the issues that anyone has been claiming. Why? I know how the game actually works, I dont THINK I know, I actually know.

All the issues the "brats" have, come from impatience and no willingness to learn a game that has a VERY harsh learning curve attached to it.

I am more then willing to help any new player learn the ropes to become a successful town operator.

Sadly, the ppl that cant figure this game out, will just keep crying it isnt finished. Once I can stream, I will SHOW you how wrong every one of you criers are.

I really don't get this high learning curve thing. It isn't that hard, but you do have to work around the games problems as it is unfinished.

The arguement that people who don't agree with you must be too stupid to understand the situation is very, very weak. Like second grade weak.

There has been a substantial update to the game at least once per month, quickly followed by any necessary hotfixes based on community feedback. Xavi has stated that he has no plans to change the development cycle, so I would expect roughly the same timeline for patches.
