Mass Container Management?
Is there a way to set/manage a large group of containers instead of having to right click each one individually? I thought maybe having a stockpile full of containers then setting the stockpile to a resource would work but it doesn't.

Nope. You have to manage containers individually. At least it's not as bad an issue as it was when I first played the game. Back then you didn't have the same container interface so not only did you have to individually manage each container but you had to reopen the container interface for each item you wanted it to contain. Trying to set 20 containers each to hold both gold and silver was such a pain back then, let alone the containers I wanted to hold more.

'Twould be nice to be able to name a container template, similar to naming job or soldier groups. For example, a food container near the orchard could be set to accept only fruit, then named "Fruit Barrel." The next barrel could then assigned to the "Fruit Barrel" group, either through container management (with a drop-down list?) or right clicking.

Now if only the villagers would place items in the closest container that accepted that item, instead of walking past ten empty containers all the way across the map just because (apparently) there is an empty container available that was placed earlier.

Learn to edit stuff make a bigger barrel. If you edit the "Item.xml" you have bigger barrel store stuff making organizing easier. <containerSize>10</containerSize> look edit that
