Just a small thank you.
I appreciate all the hard work you have put into the game. I know it's not easy to do, and it's even harder to leave a project like this one, but I will support you guys in your future endeavors. I find it strange people are complaining when the game already has more features than most games this style do from even 5 years ago. So please, don't let people get to you. Keep up the good work on any future projects, and if you ever choose to return, I for one will welcome you with open arms. (And most likely open wallet)

But, but you played only 1h of the game, and looks like you just got the game, or I am wrong?

No, I've played much more, I play a nonsteam copy mostly. I picked this game up in the Indieroyale bundle and have updated offline. That one hour on steam was to help the developer see that I play on Linux. (Going by how it supposedly works)

Are you new to gaming?

They have been making quality, feature complete, games for a very long time that put this unfinished POS to shame.

The millions he has swindled are thanks enough, I'm sure.

Sometimes a unfinished POS is better than a finished game, just saying xD.

This is not one of those times...

I've been gaming since I was 8. I'm actually working on my own game right now, and can tell you it's hard to keep working on something, especially when a community says "screw you". This game is far from a POS, even if you say it's unfinished. I will keep recommending it to my friends because we all agree it is fun. If you don't like it you don't need to try convincing others.

I'm sure I would agree with a rare instance or two, but the idiotic statement the OP made that Towns has more features than MOST games from five years ago is just plain untrue.

For some yes, for some others no, as you can see, there are people that like the game, and I am still one of them, I do not like what xavi is doing, but that is not that related to the game it self

Solo, do not insult other people that have different opinion than you. If a person had more fun with this game than some other games that are finished he has the right to say what ever he want about it.

But Ragnar, that isn't what he is saying. He isn't saying he loves Towns for X reasons. He is saying games from 5 years ago pale in comparison to the greatness of Towns and this is just plain wrong.

I can list every city building sim I've ever liked and it will be a very short list. Sim city is not even on there. I have Towns, Spacebase DF-9, Caesar 3. I am not a fan of the genre, I don't even like Dwarf Fortress (more hate spam coming at me for that), but I thoroughly enjoyed this game and it has more than enough to keep me busy. I don't know what features it is apparently missing, but it has everything I need to keep busy.

Not to mention that even if it were true, that's comparing a game that's less than a year old (in terms of official release date) to games 5 years old. Hardly a fair way to compare things.

Fair enough. I still think this is one of the worst games i've ever played when I got that rare desire to play a town management game but others are certainly entitled to their differing opinions.

That being said, this thread is kinda pointless considering Xavi doesn't check this forum so he's never going to see this "thank you."

Hmm, you are actually right... but still, try not to call other people stupid, becuase there is no reason for something like that even if they are wrong.. and its not nice xD

As if to prove my point, this is a perfectly stated opinion made without trashing the entire history of gaming up to 5 years ago and there isn't anything in this post to take issue with.
