I was also hoping that the first Greenlight titles would make full use of Steamworks, including achievements.
The gameplay would certainly go nicely with achievements and possibly even benefit from them (additional motivation to go for 100% and find all the gags).
According to Steam it is at least Steam Cloud enabled, but there have been games in the past where this claim was not true and the save games actually would not sync (Braid for example).
Personally, I'm still hoping we'll see achievements some time in the future.
I already said that in another thread, and I will make an announcement soon. McPixel uses Adobe ARI which appears to become a terrible piece of middleware that prevents this kind of stuff. I will be rewriting the entire McPixel engine to tackle that, and this will open up a windows for adding stuff like that. This will take some time but I hope it will work all fine!
On another note: Cloud saves work well and cross-platform (PC to Mac and the other way round) Let me know if there is any trouble with that feature!
