Yeah, if you're on steam, then your saves will be synched to any other machine you play on (platform independent :D)
Hmmm why isnt it flagged as steam cloud then?
Under Linux, the save files are in ~/.config/unity3d/Mike Bithell/Thomas Was Alone/ and transferring those around accomplished what I needed :)
[EDIT:]
Wow, it actually DOES sync! Only instead of resuming you need to select scenario!
It's located in the registry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mike Bithell\Thomas Was Alone
(Quoted from http://savelocations.wikia.com/wiki/Thomas_Was_Alone)
Fantastic game btw, one of the few recent games that actually made me feel good after playing it instead of wondering what other dark and bloody nonsense will happen! And a very interesting concept too!
I copied the plist from my old backup to a fresh install of osx and my progress was there when I started the game!
So, good if you want to change from one OSX install to another. Bad if you want to transfer to another OS :\ I guess that just leaves the question, how to convert from one format to another? I might try to install Thomas Was Alone on a Windows VM and compare.
So, I guess to summarize everybody's posts:
I think I'll update the wiki page gordonfreeman01 linked.
