Game won't start.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to play the game on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.9.3, and after I click on the "Play" button, a black screen appears, and some music loops indefinitely. I can't use my keyboard or my mouse, even to force quit the game, so I keep having to hold the power button until the computer shuts off. I can't even start playing. Does anyone have any advice?

Out of curiosity, what operating system are you running?

I'm running OS X 10.8.5 with the same problem, but I'm able to actually right click the icon and force quit the game without needing to shut off my computer.

How are you able to right-click the icon? Can you use your dock? Is it still visible after the game starts up? For me, the game enters into fullscreen, so I can't access the dock. I can't even see the cursor.

I've always had the game set to play in a window, so that's how it starts up, I guess? Because it starts up in a window, everything works fine except for the game.

I had this issue. I fixed it by launching the game directly (not through Steam).

After that, it worked fine (even when launched through Steam).

(No idea why this helped, I assume it's something to do with the steam overlay).

I've also tried that. It didn't work for me, either.

Having the same problem, running 10.9.3. How can I lauch the game directly (not through Steam)? I thought Steam launches automatically when the game is opened. Any help would be appreciated.

I launched the game by going into the steam folder/steamapps/common/then the thomaswasalone folder opened the application there. Thats how mine started to work again

and to get to the steam folder I went to the hardrive, then the library, and application support to find the steam folder

Hm, that's weird, I can't find it. There's no Steam folder in my applications support. I have no idea why not...
