DLC 2: Return of DLC Giveaway
Fans have opinions. (To be fair, the people who hate us probably have opinions, too, but they aren't generally our target audience, so I'm not quite as concerned there...) And we want to hear about them.

With all the DLC Resource Packs out there, we know everyone has a favorite. But this isn't about which one is your favorite. This is about which one you think really needs revisiting with a sequel.

Which one do you think expanding would create the most value for you?

Not only do we want our input, we want to REWARD you for your input: participating in this topic also enters you into our Workshop Launch giveaway! Make sure to tell us what you think!

This is a great idea!
I think the Arabian Nights needs a 2nd DLC. There could be so much more done with this theme and an expansion to the standard rtp tiles is always good to have.

Also, the Wild West Music Variety Pack is much underrated. The tracks on there are awsome and this absolutely deserves a 2nd DLC with more tracks and maybe some Wild West Sound Effects, too.

RPG Maker: Samurai Resource Pack needs a 2nd DLC. I am hoping if it would came together with Portraits/Busts and Faces that are missing from the current one, This includes more japanese oriented monsters.

RPG Maker DS+ might also need one. the main reason was the tilesets from sample project are different from the tilesets which they sold. The 2nd DLC i hope this will not happen again.

Modern day tileset: The tiles are great and useful, but there is missing a lot of stuff! For example you have a busstop but no bus. You could put in other transportation vehicles too, as well as a lot of additional furniture. The kitchen stuff looks not like it's 'modern day'. Also- please do nice beds that aren't pink.
Another idea would be to add school tiles. This would probably go with an own tileset as well.

The Samurai resource pack has some beautiful tiles, sprites and battlers. However it has NO fitting music or battlebacks. If you can add those, it would totally be worth a purchase.

Well, all of the DLCs I think have something good to offer in their own way, but personally a couple more DLCs I'd be quite eager to see and would be insta-buys;

Another one of Joel Steudler’s "Cinematic Soundtrack Music Pack".

More PVPGames High-Fantasy type of art/graphics resource packs.

I'd also be interested to see another Samurai Resource Pack (plus, I think it would be great to have a Music-pack with fitting Oriental / Japanese styled music that could fit will with a Samurai-era themed game).

I think the old school modern GFX resource pack could use a revisit for sure... There can be so much more done with it in my opinion.

DLC for MMO and different battle mechanis and scripts .. well I can only hope :P

Exporting to other systems would be nice too (like mobile games with touch interface)

You should know that whatever dlc you bought for this software can only be used with this software.

I'd mainly want a re-visit of the futuristic tiles set! We need more futuristic rpg's in our lives. Also I want to be able to have more futuristic recources for my games as most of them are futuristic. Oh and btw add some music tracks for it if you guys can.

The "Mythos Horror Ressource Pack" definitely needs and update/addon regarding characters. I love this pack but there is not even a single policeman or soldier included. Also characters in "outdoor" clothing wearing (trench)coats, lumber jackets etc. are missing.

Huh... it is rather complicated.

Right now I have only 2 DLCs: Modern and DS pack

I really like DS (I have only 1) pack... but with DS+ and the fact that both of them have great content (both are big packs with lots of useful things) I'm rather content with it... I like it, but there is no need for another sequel.

As for Modern one... this is were things gets more coplicated... It is love/hate relationship. It is useful and it was cheap... but there is simply not enough things inside to create whole varied game. So yeah I like for what is inside of this pack... but also hate it for example for animated dumpster... I'm still wondering what for was this animated dumpster when there was so little of other things. So definitly I'd like to see sequel of Modern pack.

But... well seeing so little stuff inside of Modern pack kinda forced me to try and learn pixel art to create object myself... so it's not that bad...

I have to say that of all the packs I'd like to see revisited, I'd like to see the DS+ pack revisited.

In all honesty, I'd like to see the DS+ Resource Pack revisited and to have an addon (I guess a DLC for a DLC?) to the pack (Specifically, battlers and to a lesser extent, audio (it only has BGM)) Extra expressions for existing characters would be great too (4 is great, but Happy, Angry, Sad, Surprised means that we are missing a "neutral"). What would be a great improvement would be if the +Character Generator had a 3/4th view bust maker instead of just additional sprite graphics, that would definitely be a great sequel.

On a similar note, the DS pack really could use some additional faces like the DS+ has and the snowy tilesets could use some combo snow+decayed buildings. Some of the characters could also really use some battlers.

Both the DS and the DS+ pack lack damaged characters and both could use more/some battlebacks, although the DS pack does have the down zombies, it would be great to have some more damaged /characters/.

On that note, some actual horror elements would be great to have in the DS pack. Some female giggles/laughs and some male screams as an example. (Specifically in terms of graphics, I was thinking of Team GrisGris's Corpse Party stuff-though that was for the PSP).

I mention both here due to the two packs sort of being related and a combo pack with some additions for existing items along with some new stuff would be awesome.

What would be interesting would be if we could get the "parts" for characters added to the sprite maker part of the character generator (since a version was included with DS+, it should be possible) instead of having the "completed" characters.

On a side note, is this combat system included in the scripts?

====

Some side thoughts:
Steam lacks (from my last check) RPG Maker VX. It would be nice if we could get those resources (or the program itself) for Steam.

Also, I want this message system and that background system that you can see in the editor from the VX screenshots list: http://s3-ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com/bc2prod/rpgmaker-20130522223546811/files/screenshot-rpg-maker-vx-04.jpg

Also, a DLC (not a resource pack) that allows us to use features (message system, battle system, etc.) from VX and XP would be nice.

==

More side thoughts about existing DLCs:

The zombie survival GFX is fairly lacking in terms of blood, gore, and damaged characters (I don't mean tilesets, I mean actual "characters". (limbs and zombies that are missing parts). It would be nice to have some more in a DLC

A less "glossy" samurai pack would be great so that it would fit in better with the other packs. The pack could also use some music and battlebacks.

High Fantasy Packs (and Mythos pack from what I've seen) contain some amazing items and it is a real pity that they are 3D/CG since it means that with a few exceptions, they really don't work well with the other packs. It would be nice to have a version of them that is "2D/2.5D" since the items they contain are pretty interesting.

The futuristic tiles could definitely use an actual full package with battlebacks, music, characters, etc.

I second all of this so very hard.

I think there should be a revisit to the High Fantasy pack series for tile sets. There should be a whole PACK full of nothing but textures and biomes. So there'd be Volcanic textures, snowy textures, desert textures, etc. Just a nice pack to fit the whole High Fantasy pack series that will help people build their world.

I really dug the Samurai Resource Pack. The art style was really good looking. I would probably buy a second one of those eventually.
