Non-XBox Controller Issues
I use a wireless USB controller that works on my PC, PS2 or PS3. (Specifically, it's a Thrustmaster 3-in-1.) For some reason, all the control schemes are really wonky with CC. The aiming doesn't work right, and it doesn't read the buttons properly. (It reads one of the triggers as the Start button, for instance.) In particular, I can't use the right stick to aim.

Just the fact that the controller responds at all is a little reassuring, as some devs only support XBox controllers. I'd just like to point out that a little bit of adjusting would be nice, to make CC playable with dual sticks.

I have the same problem with my bluetooth connected PS3 controller on Mac Air with OS/X. It sees the start button as button <something>, right trigger as button <something else>, etc...that aside, I can get everything to work except for aiming (right stick). Movement with left stick is flawless but right stick is pretty much worthless because it only seems to register as either aim left or aim right and by some small measure, look around without moviing. Hard to describe I guess.

Same here. Everything works great on the controller except the aiming. It would be cool if there were mapping options attached to the aiming setup like the rest of the buttons.

Same problem. Tried using x360ce. Didn't help. A little support would be great here. This thread is over a year old and still no solution? Basically can't play this game with my gampad.

While it's unfortunately still not possible to manually change aiming axes, the december update did add a secondary controller aiming option; you can choose between x360 and ps3. Selecting the latter option can also help to fix aiming problems for non-ps3 controllers, depending on the driver used.

I did try that option and it didn't solve the problem. I don't remember exactly what it did, but aiming did not function properly in either mode. Again, it's very curious to me that the x360ce emulation software doesn't solve this problem. This is the first game I've encountered that didn't play nice with that software. Can you shed any light on that?

I don't even know how to use the USB contraller in this game. How do I connect it?

Same problem: everything works fine with my Bluetooth PS3 controller on my iMac (OS 10.10.2), except the right stick for aiming. The developer mentioned this solution above, but I cannot find it anywhere: "secondary controller aiming option; you can choose between x360 and ps3. Selecting the latter option can also help to fix aiming problems for non-ps3 controllers, depending on the driver used". Is this still an option somewhere?

Setting the aiming to cursor keys in the options works, but that is obviously pretty clumsy whilst also holding the gamepad. Any other suggestions?

I've resigned myself to only playing on my desktop with keyboard and actual mouse. Really enjoying the game but I don't get to play it very often because it somehow doesn't like the xinput emulator that works flawlessly with literally every other game I've tried.
