Journey mode

Can someone please explain journey mode to me? When i start it a container smashes into my home ship and breaks it up, Meaning there is no way to collect the loot...Is it suppose to be this way?

Edit: Uninstalled and re-installed, Dident change anything home ship still shatters on first crate

It's supposed to be this way.
One container after another will crash into the ones already there. No Black Hole, no Outer Space monsters. Some containers are ship style, which count your crates.
