Missing Save Game
Hi there guys. I'm having a serious problem with this game that I hope someone out there has a solution to. It seems that whenever I exit the game and reboot my computer there is no continue option available the next time I play. I've played through the first 3 or so missions more times than I can count now simply because my damn game won't save. I've checked in the user data file where the DMC save games are located and it seems that one of the files goes from something like 26kb before reboot down to about 6 after reboot thus, making that save game useless and undetectable. I've never had this kind of pain in the ass problem with any game before and was really hoping someone here knows more about this than I do and could help me out. Thanks.

Hi! I'm having the same problem: I've already played and finished the game once but, after changing the language (italian to english), I've experienced the same issue you describe in your post.
I can still play all the missions which were saved in the 1st slot because I've unlocked them after finishing the game, but if I select a new slot, begin the game, reboot the computer and start the game this slot is empty.
I managed to fix mine by deleting everything in the config folder and just verifying the game cache so that steam downloads them all again. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this information!!
Sorry for the stupid question but I'm quite new to steam: I've noticed that in the steam folder there are lots of folders called "config". Which one should I clear: the one in userdata? or in steamapps? or the 1st in the steam folder? Thanks in advance and sorry for bothering you.

Edit: I tried what you said but it didn't work. Thanks all the same!!

Sorry for the late reply. If you still need help what you have to do is go to where DMC is installed in steam, go into the engine folder and delete everything that's in the config folder. Then once that is done verify DMC's game cache.
Thanks once again and sorry for my late reply too, but I prefer playing offline and I don't go often online so I didn't knew you answered.
Maybe I figured out what my problem was: it was related to the cloud sync. There are still lots of things I need to learn about steam!! ^_^
Still thanks for your kind help!
