An open letter to Ninja Theory...
Dear Ninja Theory,
DmC is great but if you put chainsaws in your next game, i will certainly NOT buy it.
Chainsaws are bad, and shouldnt be in video games, does nobody think about the children ?
Kind Regards
retroChris

So i hope that you could guess that i was just joking..
But really those chainsaw dudes give me trouble they ruin the flow of combat for me.
Can you guys recommend a good strat against the chainsaw enemys..
I just played through the game and i am playing through it again straight away in the Son of Sparda Mode...yeah its that great.

So really, i think DmC is fantastic, really enjoyed it, but some emeny types still give me trouble and kick me right out of the flow of combat.. and i rage easily so... yeah quitting may have occured, i admit it.. :)

so Tipps and Tricks and especially strategy discussions are very welcome

PS:
Ninja Theory is great and i am certainly looking at their new game Hell Blade

just use the shuriken attack to keep them stunned while you fight the other mobs. that sadly is quite a cheap strategy that works very well in this game

yeah.. and i jsut ragquit again :D ♥♥♥♥ this i am not playing through it again.. that difficutly is a little bit crazy.. i would have hoped for a small elevation of difficulty.. but this.. i dont know

the game is actually really easy, especially compared to its predecesors :p
the new update thats coming to consoles is even adding another tougher difficulty but it might not come to PC ;_;

havent played alot of the predecesors, though it remember trying dmc 3 on the playstation2 beck then, and i didnt make it rhought the first leve.. i DO remember that.. :D

i think its a bit crazy how much devs and players alike demanding higher and higher difiiculties thats only for 1% of the playerbase anyways.. i

well i doubt its just 1% but these games shine when put to the limit so i think really high difficulties are awesome but i know theyre not for everyone. luckily making harder difficulties is not that hard normally so it doesnt take that much developement time from the developers

Use Rebellion's just-charged (release the instant the move is charged up) Drive + Overdrive to knock them out of their super armor (when they glow yellow). All fully-charged Eryx attacks and Osiris' just-charged Raze will also work. In addition, you can Evade (Demon Evade if you can time it right), which will allow you to attack back while they are recovering from their move.

Once you get them out of super armor, get them up in the air and hit them with aerial combos, since they can't put on their super armor while they are in midair. Remember that they are rather light enemies, (about the same as Elite Stygians), so they can be easily pulled close with Aquila's Aerial Buy In and Osiris' Rake.

If you are really brave, you can try for parries, though I would not recommend it.

Thanks ! Will try those out, i am not sure if i can parry.. i could hit some of mundus fireball attacks back to him.. is this the same parry timing ?

true but also only half of the players beat the game on normal and only about 12% beat the DLC. if you consider only 12% beat the DLC then 2.2% is almost 1 out of 5 players that beat the game on its hardest :p

i made it through the first level on Son of Sparda difficutly.. so thx guys !
bad rating though: a D for the time :D need to get all the hidden items though...

nono, 2.2% means 2.2 players out of 100 or about 1 out of 50 finished on Dante must Die difficulty, thats what i would call the die hard fan base, or the really skilled folks..

but i will try to play through it one more time.. and collect some achievements, and i also agree that the more difficult a game gets the more you need to know about the game.. so thats a plus.. but i for instance, could certainly mow down a few stygians for a while just to watch dantes animations play out and listen to the sound at the end of the enemy wave... its just great..
and for itself worth playing.. without being challenged to the limits..

5M0k1N Feb 5, 2015 @ 1:06pm
i know, i was talking about those 12% that did beat the DLC. out of those 12%, about a fifth of them beat the game on its hardest

Sorry to tell you but by the end of SoS EVERY enemy is raging or being colour coded so the flow is completely gone.. its why I now hate the game it has NO flow in the later difficulties and the early ones where it does flow are way to easy.

The best cheap tactic I've found is a fully powered ground slam with the fists, it breaks all enrages giving you about 2 seconds to attack before having to do it again...
