DmC Mods is down. Save your mods

DmC Mods is a shambles, overrun by spambots, and nearly every mod once hosted there is gone.

So anyone who has some of the game's better mods like Bloody Palace Gentleman's Edition, let's upload them elsewhere. Mega.co.nz is still a good choice...

seriously? i just found that site and just got the game. i wanted to do a vanilla playthrough of it first and i haven't tried any of these mods. damnit. if you could find the Trickster Dash mod for Dante so i could use that, i'd be grateful. it was th eonly mod i found good that didn't seem to completely break the gameplay. (i'm probably one of very few that honor the colored enemies and actually have no real problem with them, along with the fact this game has virtually no manual lock on of any kind. in other words, the major gripes for many are not gripes to me. either way, i did find that Trickster Dash mod to look kinda fun for a subsequent playthrough or two. xD just for ♥♥♥♥♥.)

I think Turbo Mode is still up. If you see a mod, try to download it but in the general case assume that the good stuff is gone.

They already have one but I think they have rules against uploading other people's mods without their permission, even if you state that it's not yours.

It's too bad. I would love some great mods for this game other than the few I managed to grab.

It seriously sucks that they didn't release the definitive edition on PC. I would have loved those new costumes and the tweaked color coded enemy system. (though I managed to get a mod for that)

The color coded enemy system tweak from DmC:DE is small potatoes. There are a lot of little AI tweaks here and there that add up to make the game feel better. Every single boss is hugely improved. Mundus's Spawn actually is a threat now. Vergil feels completely different since you aren't constantly waiting for his cooldowns to hit him.

Well Mundus still is ♥♥♥♥ but there's no way to fix him.

The hardcore mode stuff is nice too but now, with that hardcore modifier on, comboing for style is so difficult I think it's harder than it was in DMC4 to get high style ranks.

Ah man! You're making me want it even more. Not sure why they basically said f*ck you to the PC community by not even at least releasing the costumes as DLC. I own it on PS3 but would have gladly bought it again on PC for the definitive edition.

Hell, the FIRST boss is even a threat now on higher than normal difficulty. I never thought THAT would happen.

I think they didn't bother porting DE to PC as the biggest deal was 60 FPS and Turbo mode and we already had 60 FPS. I'm still mad as hell we didn't get it but I can kinda understand it. We can ghetto hack DmC PC with mods but it is never ever going to quite match all the fixes they put into DE unless someone actually gets to work retracing their exhaustive changelog step by step.

To me the costumes are hit or miss. I'm actually partial to DmC Dante's black hair look more than the DMC cosplays. Vergil's new costumes look terrible because they are all using Vergil's ugly-ass Empowered hair or whatever they call it.

Oh and somehow Vergil's doppleganger got nerfed style-wise so now it doesn't produce a truly stupid amount of style points, enough to put you over SSS even with weak other rankings and multiple deaths. I don't think I have a single SSS in VD except for the Hollow Vergil fight where in the PC version I would have to faceroll the controller or not use dopple to avoid SSS.
