Fertilizer vs. Sprayer vs. Manure vs. Slurry
I'm kind of confused about the differences between these four things. Do they all have the same function (increasing the crop yield)? What is each for?

Thanks!

They are all basically the same thing and produce the same yield bonus. Just different sources that you can choose to use.
Ok. So where does each come from?

Sprayer: this is just water, that I can get from the little fountain troughs?
Slurry: from biogas plant or cow pasture
Manure: how do I get this? My cows are only making the liquid manure
Fertilizer: where does this come from?

Since I can fill up the sprayer at any of the little water troughs (for free?), why would I use any of the other sources?

Thank you again.
Fill your sprayer or fertiliser spreader at the blue tank in your farmyard. I don't think that filling your sprayer with water will increase crop yield (but I've not tested that yet). Slurry collects in the large tank at the cow pasture if you have cows, or at the biogas plant after it has processed some thing. For manure, you'll need to provide your cows with bedding ;)

If both the sprayer and fertiliser spreader get filled from the same tank, what's the difference between them?

And what's bedding?
Bedding is straw that the animals sleep on which you bale after harvesting wheat/barley
Thanks. But the other question: If both the sprayer and fertiliser spreader get filled from the same tank, what's the difference between them?
no difference just a type of spreader

Actually there is a difference, the difference between a sparyer and a spreader is the type of fertilizer they use, sprayers use liquid fertilizer and speaders use solid fertilizer such as pellets.

The blue tanks is for the liduid fertilizer, and to the side of the blue tank are white bags filled with the soilid pellet fertilizer, both sprayers and spreaders do the same thing just in slightly different manners.
I'm not sure but I think spraying with water will increase the time before crops wilt, while spraying with fertilizer will increase the yield. I'm not sure if you can spray with both or if the second just overwrites the first. I could also be wrong about the wilting. I need to do more testing.
the liquid fertilizer is basically the same thing as the pellets its a liquified version of pellets.

Thanks. But the other question: If both the sprayer and fertiliser spreader get filled from the same tank, what's the difference between them?

One important difference to note, is that a fertilizer can be mounted on the front of a tractor, allowing fertilizing and seeding in once pass. Sprayers can cover a large field very fast, which is their benefit.

Slurry tanks and manure spreaders are the "free to fill" alternatives to them.
I know water is used for green houses, but can anyone comfirm that watering plants prolongs their life span?
I don't think you can fill a sprayer with regular water, and I don't think you can dump water on a field from a water trailer. You have to use the "sprayer" trailers, which can only be filled from the fertilizer tank.
Fertilizing the ground before the crop is ripe should roughly double the yield.
So just to sum up for everyone who gets to the bottom of the thread:

- water / fertilizer both give yield bonus, seems to be the same bonus
- sprayers / spreaders take different sources, but refill at the same spot (slurry is elsewhere right?)
- at least one of the spreaders (i have Amazone ZA-X 1402) can be front or rear mounted (super handy)

this is all mentioned above, but it jives with my experimenting as well. I've gone a tiny bit further and hooked up the Amazone ZZ-X 1402 spreader to the back of the starting SAME Argon3 75 tractor, and put the HORSCH Express 3-point seed drill on the front of it. The HORSCH cultivates as it seeds, and the Amazone ZZ-X fertilizes out the ass end as i'm seeding. I basically just use this tractor, plus the starting harvester, and another SAME Argon3 hauling the starting tipper. seems to be pretty efficient while using a bunch of relatively cheap equipment. I was able to sell the starting Kramer tractors (i kept one for sentimental reasons), the cultivator, and the sower, keeping equipment to a minimum.

EDITED: I just started the cultivate/seed/fertilize process with one tractor doing all of it, and it doesn't seem like it's cultivating? i've seen weirder visual bugs so i'm going to play with it a but but even though the HORSCH says it cultivates as it seeds, I DON'T THINK IT DOES! liars!
