Works fine with Wine

Good to know it works ok with wine (thanks, speediee), but a native port would be preferred. Specially taking into account there is a Mac version which ought to use OpenGL rather than DirectX.
I would buy the game if a Linux port was made (I am not willing to dual boot any more).
So +1 :)

oh only if this game has a Linux version i would be it also. Personaly i'm really beganing to not like windows game and all the crap attached to them. I love the good common sence macanics of Linux games and games just work on Linux.

I want to install farming simulator on a linux machine to run with wine however when i try through steam it just says the game is not available on this platform... anyway i can get around this?

A port for linux would be really easy, because of the existing MAC OpenGL Version. But, don't hope that these developers are doing this. For example: They take 6 month for a simple dedicated server edititon windows-only... also they said, if their crowfunding gets more money as expected, they are going to develope a linux dedi version. well, they got a bit more money as expected but of course they don't plan to develop the linux version. unfortunately they're slow and programming the most needed things only. (dedi server windows see details http://ulule.com/farming-simulator/ )

+1 for a Linux port. Ever since I saw the Yogscast playing this I have wanted to give it a try. I won't buy it without a port though, it gets annoying to keep swapping back and forth between native and wine versions of Steam, or even between various versions of wine Steam since I stick different games into their own prefix, so I got like 5 Steam installs via wine atm...

I would be very much in favor of a Linux version. Would be an instant buy.

if there is a mac port it can't be tha hard to port to Linux, how about a port? I would like to play this game natively on my Linux laptop, desktop and the steambox when it comes out.

I wouldn't hold my breath, they haven't even bothered to make a headless installer for servers, which makes installing on linux servers a pain in the ♥♥♥.

I can't even believe this FUD still exists. Jesus. Such ignorance. Parafox is making truckloads of cash with their native Linux ports. Valve is making truckloads of cash with their native Linux ports. Have you ever heard of a little game called Metro: Last Light or Football Manager 2014? Both have native Linux ports now. Garry's Mod? Native Linux port. Dota2? TF2? Left 4 Dead 2? All native Linux ports.

No big name titles? That might be true in your head but out in the real world "big name titles" are being ported to Linux every week.

Go read a ♥♥♥♥ing website or something and quit spreading this FUD.
