Cultivating, Spraying, Weights, and Cruise Control
I'm a noob.
I'll just start with that.
First of all, I don't understand what the point of cultivating the plants after the harvest is. After using a combine harvester, I used a cultivator to get rid of the remains the combine left behind. When I tried the same thing with the plow, it just plowed the field. So I don't actually have to cultivate the field in order to plow it, I can just plow after harvesting. Is what I'm saying true? Or is there something that the cultivator does that I'm missing?

Second, I can't seem to figure out how to use the sprayer AMAZONE FT 1001. When I filled it, then attached it to the back of a tractor with a weight in the front, all I could do was lower the sprayer or detach it from the tractor. Once I lowered it, there was nothing I could do. So all I could do with the sprayer was lower it and lift it. What??????? Is there something else I need to have attached to use it? Does that sprayer model have a different purpose or is it used differently?

Weights. Weights. Why do I need them? What do they help with? Do I need them to use certain implements?

Finally, cruise control. I read that to do cruise control, I hold w to drive forward and press 1, 2, 3, or 4 once and the tractor will stay at that level of MPH. Am I wrong, first of all? Assuming I'm not, I tried this, and it works for a couple of seconds but then starts to accelerate again. I tried using the red and green tractors you get at the start of Hagenstadt. Do I need a different tractor? Do I need a weight at the front? If so, should it be lifted? Is it an error on my part?

Please help. Thanks.

spraying and weights are solved but I still don't know the point of cultivating and how to cruise control correctly.

you don't need to plow just cultivate., you only need to plow grass, for cruse you should only need to push 1,2,3,or 4 pnce to go and again to stop.

so once I cultivate wheat and I want to replant wheat again, do I need to sow it? Or will cultivating it replant it?

There must be something wrong because I do what you say to do for cruise control but the same thing happens.

It depends. The usual process:

1) cultivate
2) sow
3) harvest
4) If harvesting wheat or barley, pickup straw (not required but is easy money)
5) Repeat

However, there are sowers that can cultivate which saves you a step. So you end up with:

1) Cultivate/Sow
2) Harvest
3) If harvesting wheat or barley, pickup straw (not required but is easy money)
4) Repeat

I don't recall specific model numbers but the equipment pages in the store should tell you.

Stop pressing W when setting cruise control. Just press 1-4, sit back, and steer. The tractor will keep going until you stop it or take control. To stop, press D.

oh i thought cultivating was removing the straw from the field. I saw a youtube video where this guy cultivated his field when there was straw on it, but he was just skipping step 4 of the usual process. So cultivating is basically plowing but for grains.

Wait, when i release W, the vehicle just stops. Should I release W right before I press 1-4, right as I press 1-4, or right after?

I usually do something like this;

Bailing the straw requirers many extra steps that seem to take forever, so yeah you can easy skip over it
with a seeder cultivator. I usually don't unless I'm in a hurry.
If it's straw it's these extra steps;
#1-Use a windrower,,
#2-use a bailer,,
#3-go around and pick up the bails,,(whatever means nessasary)
#4-then trasport the bails were you want ,feed your cows, sell them, or store and stack them.
--for feeding my cows, I usually make a couple of Grass fields near the cows, and leave the mower or there, it's usually enough.

Mowing is similar.
windrow, tedder, bailer, transport, store.

Also you can use a forage wagon.
