What is the point of more expensive tractors?
Ever since Giants release the Farming Classics for free, I do not see the need to buy expensive tractors. I feel like the Schulter 1500 TVL works well. I just want to hear what your thoughts are on the more expensive tractors.

I'd like to see that little tractor pulling the big equipment or trailers. :-p

i think its so unrealistic and stupid to see some one pulling a huge anything with a little tractor shows how narrow minded some are about the real life aspects are in farming they havnt got a clue or putting a plow or disk on teh front of tractor totally silly unrealistic

If you got a 24 row strip-till. The Schulter 1500 TVL WOULD NOT pull it in real life. you need ATLEAST 500 i think.

I don think its so much that u have a varietie i think its just that some r more high quality.

for the big condoor seeder you need a bigger tractor. Though i am able to pull it fine with about 150 HP vs the yellow tractors ~130

No real difference in-game, they can all pull the big equipment. The lighter tractors might have trouble getting enough traction on the front wheels when turning, but that's about it.

That's one of my pet peaves with the game, how you can use basically any tractor with few exceptions to do every job. There is no reason or benefit to getting the Case Steiger and the Schluter actually comes with a downside in that it's turning radius is complete garbage.

It's all a matter of preference, Using MR mod changes all that. You are forced to choose more realistically with the tractors and implements.
Stakker Aug 20, 2014 @ 5:28am
aye, as Chow says the MR mod, will make choosing the right tractor for the right tool really important. I only play MR now, much more fun

The other thing about more expensive tractors is that it gives you something to work towards. I mean as much as I like the 75HP Same, I wouldn't want to drive it forever in the game especially if I can afford a much faster tractor like the Deutz 430 , dig?

This post shows how narrow minded some people are about different ways people enjoy a GAME.
