There was a problem starting your game, the Ubisoft game launcher was not found. Please try re-installing the game. Error code is 2.

i have tryed to re-install ofc. didnt work

i have also tryed to install the Uplay like this:
Applications - Steam - Steamapps - common - far cry 3 - Support - gamelauncher and then run the Uplayinstaller

but then its says '' A more recent version of the application is already installed ''

but i cant really find this ''other'' Uplay so i can delete it.. any guesses how i can find it?

i have already tryed the seach, thing..

hope u guys can help

I am having this same ♥♥♥♥ing issue! screw it! Gonna go pirate it till they get a fix going... idiots shouldn't release a game bogged down with DRM unless they make sure the game will actually work.

okay, i have fixed mine now.. any of u playing on a mac? and just bootcamped it to windows?
because then u have to delete the Uplay thing on the mac part, becaus otherwise they will ♥♥♥♥ eachother up...

if not, well.. basicly what i did were just, erase all the evidence of Uplay and any other Ubisoft program ever being on my computer ( easyer said then done)

and after deleting every single ubisoft program, i just reinstalled the Uplay manually from the ubisoft home-page.... i truely hope this willl help you guys

May or may not help but an actual Ubi Support staff posted a link to the uPlay launcher download. But it might just put you in the same loop. I didn't get mine thru Steam this round and I only use uPlay. But it hasn't given me any issues either.

Edit: Hehe Ninja'd with the solution. Glad you sorted it.

For that to work, the uPlay launcher must be able to actually start. OP describes a problem where the launcher doesn't function properly, so this method wouldn't help him, sadly.
