How do you alter mbm files?
Title says it all. I'm trying to clean up the textures for the hooligan labs airships (for my own use, I just want them to look more "professional") but I can't seem to find any program that can open the three mbm files on those parts.

I found this, but it looks pretty complicated:

Does anyone know a simple way to modify these? Something more in line with just clicking "open"?

Thanks, I look forward to your replies, any help will be appreciated ;D

I would suggest downloading a MBM file converter, But I have not had much first hand experience with this.

Im sure thats what most of the modding community does.

Then once you edit them using any standard image editing software if it is a png or jpg file, then I think you have to convert it back into an MBM file.

I would imagine that being the most simple way of doing it, or else you would have to get an image editor that is able to directly modify MBM files. And I do not know any of the sort off the top of my mind.

Hmm, thanks for the advice. Does anyone know of any specific MBM file converter programs that are good?

Well, I've got good news and bad news...

Good news is I found this mbm converter on an old ksp mod site that looks like exactly what I'm wanting:
http://kerbal-space-parts.com/space/modpart-mbm-to-png-file-converter-863.html

But the bad news is that I can't get it to work :/
I can't tell if it's broken or I just don't know how to use command prompts, but no matter what I type in I can't get it to spit out a PNG the way the Readme says it should. Even when I copy and paste the commands from the readme it just says something real quick and then closes itself before I can read it.

If anyone could give this program a shot and figure out what I'm doing wrong I'd really appreciate it. I'm THIS close to getting this mod right where I want it XD

Here you have it: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/47068-mbm-Texture-File-Converter

It needs unity 3d, it's the program who all the modders and devs use to make stuff for the game http://unity3d.com/unity/download
