They seem to exist, but only insofar as they frequently strand Kerbonaunts for you to pick up and pad your roster. And parts. Lots of junk out there because as far as I can tell, they put stack separators between every part they send up, just in case.
Just kidding. I know ksp is not an rpg game, but I would love to have more options regarding personal development of my minions. They get some exp which is great, but it would be so fun to have a training facility for them, where they could prepare for their missions gaining more skills, experience, stamina etc. More eva options would be also fun. Perhaps a new class? There are so many options. Perhaps different type of research you could perform using your brave astronauts.
Also I would be wuite excited to explore planets with something on them. I am not talking about cities and aliens, but some primitive forms of plants, different rock formations, water, ice, weather, storms like on saturn... it would be great as at the moment I feel like every planet is similar and only has different colors.
Ok, seriously:
-Mod version checker (and ability to turn off one by one in game);
-More aircraft items (like the mod);
-Life support systems (just like the mod);
-Self sustain capable space station modules;
-Inflatable modules just like Bigelow's module on the ISS;
-Additional space stations (like a sims street) for local multiplayers (without big jump in time);
-Automated manuvering tool with timers (when to do what);
-Improved navball (always shows the next navpoint even if it is on the other side, not just if it is in +/-90°);
-Semi automatic paratuche deploying (the parachute wont open until certain conditions even if it is detached from the vehicle (now as i saw it deployed when i push the button even if its way dangerous but i want to set up at the factory to deploy and open when it is safe));
-More EVA missions with tools (kas mod);
-Integrated transfer window panel mod;
-Wheather on Kerbin and other planets;
-Eject seats to planes;
-Workshop;
Aaaaand thats all i think... (for now)
Useful for career mode, too.
Cross training. A Kerbal who has achieved at least rank 4 may cross-train in a different branch up to rank 2.
Persistent craft. If I build an orbital, winged, SSTO, and land back at KSC, I should be able to keep it in my hangar. Not disassemble it, then have to build a new one for each launch.
