Episodes being sold separately?
I bought the game thinking that all the episodes will be released under the same purchase like a lot of other episodic games. The Steam store was definitely not clear about this.

Before episode 2 came out, the game was labeled as The Journey Down, once the second episode came out, the name was changed to Episode 1. Bait and switch.

Nope, the game has been labeled "The Journey Down: Chapter One" from start. Don't even think it's possible to rename a game on steam after it's been released..

Each episode is sold separately (except when we bundled TJD1+TJD2 during the pre-order) and there will be three episodes in total.

Did you purchase via the Humble Widget on thejourneydown.com?

Then you don't get your key via E-Mail, you need to login with your HumbleBundle account at www.humblebundle.com and redeem them yourself.

I know you are a dev, but you're wrong in this case. I even have my confirmation email from my purchase and it says The Journey Down. Nothing about episode 1. As far as I'm concerned, it's a bait and switch.

Title: The Journey Down: Chapter 1
But below: Buy The Journey Down

So both of you are right, but Steam has been clear that this is only Chapter 1.

Holy crap you're right! (and even more shocking: I was wrong!)

I wasn't aware of that button, valve put it there for us. Glad they changed it now so we'll avoid any more confusion.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'll PM you a free copy of TJD2 each!

Thank you, Kingstone. I really appreciate it. I look forward to enjoying the game.

Actually my intention was to point out that the shop site stated that it is only Chapter1, although yes the buy button and following by that the confirmation mail wasn't clear about that.
I don't want a free copy. I'm fine with having payed for the Chapter2 as intended, even if someone from Valve made a mistake here I could profit from.

I also still have my preorder at Humble Bundle with Chapter1 and 2 I didn't offer as a gift yet. Now that Chapter2 is released I have to sort that out asap.

I just looked in my store transaction archive and there is also just said: "The Journey Down"
Exempt:
15 Jan 2013 The Journey Down Purchase 4,79€

In my library it's called "The Journey Down: Chapter One"

Didn't know that game could have 2 different names for store/library Display. Good to know :)

Usually they are the same.. but sometimes different.. for instance in the store name they'll be full of TM's and R's etc. and then they'll remove them from the library listing (at least the decent publishers do) as it is cleaner..

If you checkout http://steamdb.info/ - you'll see as new items go in the database states 'Name added' and 'Store name added' as two separate values (check out 'A City Sleeps' on that list).

You should get Chapter 2 on the store page for this to link to the store page for that and vice-versa. I had to search for it to get to that store page. This isn't linked on THAT store page either. Jsut a link to buy it. Make it easier for people to look at both and maybe add it to their wishlists if they have this and are lookign at it and deciding to play it for the first time. Basically what I am doing right now. Deciding to play this and wanting to see if Ch 2 was there and put it on my list in case I like this.

It's not even in the box at the bottom as a recommended game for this either. LOL

Ch 2...PRobalby need the new Steam links for it. They actually link to the stuff the you are cross-marketing.
