Quake Live on Steam?
I mean i know it's a web-based game but that doesn't mean ID can't try to make that work, i mean they are too lazy to add modding to their new games (or it probably isn't lazyness maybie the company that owns them are going all EA on them (ID) and they don't want their games to have an actual playerbase for any longer than about a year or two) they should at least allow us to play Quake Live through Steam and use Steam cash in the few (or many) micro-transactions they have put into it, not to mention it will help Quake Live since alot more people will be playing it since Steam is the home of PC gaming nowadays.

Quake live is Q3 just in a browser so it is easy for some to be able to play Free.If You want the extra stuff then you have to go to Steam or find a retail copy like i have
Steam already sells the full complete game the you can use all the mods addons etc. Thats why

The games use two seperate communities though. Q3A players can't play with Live players. In addition to that Live has alot of great community features.

all the more reason for it to come to Steam

Blame Zenimax. Actually, blame iD for selling themselves out. QL could've been on steam years ago.

I lol'd at this uneducated comment. Qauke Live is a dummed down versiion of Quake 3... its not the same... and its standalone not in a browser. (Still runs like crap)

still sucks from the forum info.
besides this is a Quake 3 Arena Forum not a Quake Live Forum so i dont really care to much about the wanabe game that already was a long timeago

the only real "improvement" is the hi-rez textures (from what i've seen in the standalone screenshots)

ID isnt alive anymore, bethesda claims they still use the name for "nostalgia"
