Dissapearing bodies

Anyone else is having this problem? A friend of mine sent me the game from Germany, but as far as I can tell, it's not censored since the enemies have red blood. I updated my PC recently, so I don't think this is really a problem of outdated components.

It is censured version.

Just to make sure:
1. Start Steam.
2. Click on 'Sayer's account'
3. Select 'Account details'
There should be a list of all games you have. I bet you have Half-Life 2(DE) - Gift/Guest pass.

You can contact Steam support and explain you do not reside in Germany, hence you can have a full version of the game.

I looked at the name of the game, but it only says "Half Life 2 - Gift/Guess Pass". It doesn't mention the country anywhere.
