Half-Life Movie by J.J. Abrams!
The producer of LOST, Armageddon, Mission Inpossible, Star Trek 3 is working on a Half-Life and Portal movie! IDK if you guys knew that but for those who didn't, I though I would throw this out there. Check IMDB dot com. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2697688/

They do. On the other hand, games based off Movies are actually ok, like the Lord of the Rings games, they were great, the Star Wars games, they were awesome, Spiderman games, they were really fun! But they go the opposite way around and they are just trash! Never in my life have I watched or seen a movie based off a game, and I imagine it'd suck so much, but games to be are meant to be played, not turned into movies. (I heard of a HL3 movie being made instead of a game, but it's not real, it's a fake, it'll never be done)

The reason I'm quite sure it will be good is the director of the movie. It seems he can't miss with his stuff.

If anything, a HALF-LIFE movie should be based around the 7-hour war, or another point of view in the Black Mesa incident. It's not hard to make a good "video game movie" it's just that there are too many people that can't stick to the elements that the game used, and tries to make it something that it is not.

Just look at the newer Resident Evil movies, they use more slow-motion Matrix-like action scenes than THE ACTUALL MATRIX DOES! How does a horror game spawn an action movie? Was it REALLY that hard to make the RE movies an actual RE movie?

DOOM is another example, the movie turned into something completely different from the game. It didn't even use DEMONS! Which was what DOOM revolved around! Despite being different from the game, this was one of the better video game movies, just not with the title "DOOM".

I have to say, as long as it's based around HL1 then I'm happy. If it becomes popular enough and they make a sequel, then it can be about HL2.

I don't know about this. If it seems to stick to the game elements, maybe it'll be ok.
