When walking... You walk like a your jogging... but here... i'm walking very slow... very very slow...

When Jumping... I jump like I'm on the moon...

Dear the StarBot,
the issue you're talking about has been afflicting every single Hal life2 user that downloaded the most recent updates. Within those happened to be a "bug" that influences and modifies gravity and movement speed of G. Freeman to the point where, as someone said, it seems he's walking (and jumping) on the moon. What makes this even worse, is that every other NPC moves just as normal, trnsforming you into a big bullet sponge (and making one of the best games here on steam feel like you're impersonating a drunk sloth).

The solution that has been proposed (and to most people seemed to work - especially those who are playing it now, which are for the most new players) is to enable console commands and then type "sv_alternateticks 0" into the console itself (without the " "). I've done this myself, and it surely helped solving the abysmal speed at which The Freeman moved, but at the same time chenged his movement and his response to movement commands in an awkward way. I then checked on youtube some gameplay, only to realize that the "sv_alternateticks 0" command makes you move with way less restraints than you should have, as if you were CONSTANTLY on a slickery-oiled surface. You move slightly faster, and what's worse, every move imput has an IMMENSE inertia, to the point where your chracter keeps moving in the same direction for around half a second after you stopped pressing any key. I felt like I was controlling a big ball rolling around instead of a person. And that's sad! because HL2 used to have some of the best "feeling" in movement I had in any FPS I've ever played.

Thank you very much :)
