Lighting Problems
I've recently been encountering some mild light changes since I completed Water Hazard.

It seems to always be fullbright when I change maps now?

Does anybody have this problem and how do we fix it?

I also found out that turning sv_cheats to 0 helped too.

I tried using +mat_dxlevel 95 but it didn't seem to work for me.

There's a discussion called "stuck on directx 8". Click on it, read through it and you'll get the answer. Look for Sir Whiskey

did you change ur advanced graphics settings in game also?

Nah, I just change them to high for graphic detail.
Oh wow thanks a lot. I played almost half of the game with WHITE walls :P

:P
One problem though, it's kinda bright still imo, when I change a setting from the Advanced area, it goes darker, just like I want. But it ruins everything when I load a new stage :( Is there a way to set the light up a bit darker? I tried changing the values and nothing did anything really.

maybe your graphics settings in windows or on the monitor try using a calibration tool, theres also a slider ingame to adjust the brightness you may have missed it
