They are 2 different games. It MIGHT be possible in Garry's Mod, but not in Half Life.

I think you need to put HL2 maps and scripts or something like that in the Portal folder, but in order to get HL2 maps in portal you need to extract them using GCFScape, I don't have Portal so i can't test that.

That video does not explain anything clearly to me. Not sure what the console key is, '~' didn't do anything.

This mod/hack/thingy is the reason I bought half-life 2, really hoping there is a solution.

I tried to do the GCFScape thing via instructions found on Google, but half-life2.gcf does not exist on my computer, despite a direct purchase from steam. Not sure if they updated/changed files or formats or what have you.

If anyone has any idea how to do this now as opposed to 2007's instructions that would be mighty handy!

Since VALVe moved most of the new games to SteamPipe, HL2 was also included apparently. So now, instead of those "gcf" files, you now have "acf" files.

Dang, so that must mean it will be harder to get the mod done. Thank you for your info!
