How can I fix Smod Redux v8 error 116

Smod Redux was working fine but when I tried to launch it recently, I got the engine error 116 message telling me to repair the cache but since this is a non steam mod I cannot do this in Smod Redux because It does not give me the options under local files to verify cache integraty. I tried deleting the Smod files and reinstalling them but this did not work either.Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue.
