Half-Life 2 Low FPS Bug
I was playing on the mission when you invade Nova Prospekt and when I got into this room where there are security moniters, I started to get around 2 FPS. I was playing normally before that. My computer can run games just fine. What would this be?

My specs:

Intel Core I5 processor 2.53 GHZ quad core
Nvidia Geforce GT 420m graphics card
6 GB RAM

Thats odd. I've ran hl2 on plenty of crappy platforms and played the game all the way through it. Do you know where the video stress test thing is at? You should do that and see what it says.

Security monitors? Could be that a screen inside a screen with cameras that's cousing the problem, but what do I know? I play Minecraft along with these other games!

Well, I tried to leave the room, kill all the ant-lions, etc. I finally loaded an autosave and *poof* Normal FPS. I don't know what would have caused it, but it's gone.

I'm not sure but it could have been because some weird physics, Havok (HL2's physics engine) can act weird and kill your FPS if there's much physics going on, even if you cant see what's happening xD.
