Why is there no workshop for HL2
As per title, i am finding it odd to say the least that HL2 does not havea workshop interface.

Is anyone able to point out why or perhaps if valve plan on adding it any time soon?

Yeh, desura is great in many ways (i even think steam / valve notice this and have implemented changes in their client to keep up with desura - pre alpha and client ratings / lvls etc come to mind)

I hope ppl will be able to comment more and perhaps we can get a bit of inisght into this oversight.

It would be nice. I don't personally like downloading mods from the internets because often they come with malware.

Desura or Moddb would elimate malicious files.

True, but still they work only in about 85% of malware.

Yes this would be a good thing for mods.

I agree, there needs to be a workshop for Half-Life 2 (Including the Episodes)

No need to worry about Desura
