Half-Life far away weapon sounds
I found that the neatest thing in the Source engine was that weapons sounded different when fired close and from far away. Distant guns sound more muffled and have an echo effect.


My question is: when I install a custom sound for a weapon, is there any way to make a script that changes the weapon firing sound when shot from a distance, or am I screwed?
