Half Life 3: No thank you....
Hey Valve,

Just to let you know: we don't really want you to make Half Life 3 (or Episode 3) anymore. Yep, we're done waiting for it and we no longer care. Lots of other great games have come out since Episode 2 and our Steam libraries are pretty full now after all the sales and such. So don't worry about finishing the story, okay? We're not that interested. If 3 does come out, we'll probably just end up waiting a while longer for it to go on sale anyway. ;)

I'll have you know that you are the minority, plenty of people (including myself) still care.

I'm guessing that the irony of my post was lost on you. Nevermind. Does anyone think that reverse psychology works at all?
Deekus Nov 3, 2013 @ 4:11pm
I might be detecting some sarcasm there. and then you tried to use psychology against Valve.
Meh, I'm just gonna say that I don't care when it comes, only when it's released to the world. Only because I'm not bothered with waiting like most HL fans, if it takes forever for Valve to release the 3rd game, fine, I don't care, as long as I'll be alive when they do... then again, I doubt Valve would take like 80-something years to release it.

It takes forever for VALVe to normally release a lot of games.

The best part though is that when they do, the games are works of art and not just another game in the series like some other game franchises that release a "new" game every year for it to be nothing more than a new story with the same exact gameplay.

I bet HL3 will do just as HL and HL2 did and it will change the FPS game again. HL showed there could be a story with great gameplay and HL2 took that to the next level while also giving amazing graphics and physics effects.

am i the only one who thinks that valve is intimidated by how high they set the bar with half life 2 and the hype they created with the long delay and now they fear that the third game wont reach the expectations?

No, you're not the only one. They may be afraid that this game will become another DNF
There are a lot of games that has bad sequels compared to the previous ones, but good games compaired to other games.

I think HL3 Could be either a bombshell or another epic before its time.
