Any other good single player first-person games? (that aren't less than 7 hours and came out after 2003)
I've played (get ready)-
All the HL series
All the Crysis games
Both Borderlands games- 60+ hours on both each
Bulletstorm
Shadow Warrior (the remake and original)
All the Far Cry games
All the Deus Ex games
All the Bioshock games
Mirror's Edge
Outlast (jump scare central)
Both Amnesias (and plenty of custom stories)
All the Serious Sam games
The Stanley Parable (a delightful game)
Both Metro games
Both Zeno Clash games (both very good)
Both Dead Island games (also good)
The Darkness II (loved it)
Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth (doesn't get enough love)
Dishonored (GOTY 2012 in my opinion next to Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3)

That list is limited to games that I really enjoyed (except Far Cry 2, I hated it), so maybe you have an idea of what type of FP games I like. I like games that either make you feel like a total badass (i.e. Crysis, The Darkness, Dishonored), or games the scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of you (i.e. Amnesia, Outlast)

All of them. c: I've played 1, 2, and Doom 64. I plan on getting Doom 3 though. It actually shows how everything happens on Mars.

I've played all the Dead Space games (first was kinda scary, next two were not as much, but all three are fantastic) and I've played all the Mass Effect games, but I've never tried Rage or Doom 3.

Because Doom 1 and 2 came after 2003...

He was obviously referring to Doom 3. I can't believe you haven't played it yet. It can either make you feel like a total badass or scare the crap out of you.

Doom can come after 2003 (Because it's still better than most shooters after 2003). :c I want to get Doom 3, but I don't have any money.

Bring your gf out to dinner and pay. Then the next day hit her with guilt and ask to use her credit card. Thank me later.

Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition, it's expansions, and it has Workshop now.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edtion (just patch it with DSfix and get a controller).
Dark Souls is actually my GOTY every year.
It's just so damn good.
I've beaten it about 6 times now and I have a total of 200 hours exactly.
First playthrough takes around 30-70 hours to beat (unless you are a natural at the game).
After that it slowly progresses to the point where you can just fly through the game in about 8-10 hours. Even less if you are good a speedrunning and have the right equipment.

Can't wait for Dark Souls 2 (March 2014).

Uh.
Penumbra series is good if you liked Amnesia.
It's by the same company.

Postal 2.
it's campaign is short, but I can guarantee you that you can have a blast in its interactive sorta-open world.
Though, its humor and violence may be considered a little offensive to you.

I've beaten Portal 2 twice and love it, and played Duke Nukem 3D back when it released, and have beaten Dark Souls once... hardest game ever.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
You can easily play it over 500+ hours

I tried Skyrim, and it didn't stick. The combat felt static, and I didn't like the fantasy premise. Fallout 3 was a lot better for me.

The New Shadow Warrior is pretty decent, and New Vegas had better shooter mechanics then FO3 if you thinking about playing it.
