Should Half Life 3 have to be groundbreaking graphics-wise?
Personally, I don't want to have to spend a ♥♥♥♥ tonne of upgrades to play it. I want it to look good, but I don't think it needs to be any better than the likes of Halo 4 of the recent COD games. It doesn't need to be like the Crisis series or Fall out and look ograsmic. It's the game play that counts.

valve optimizes the ♥♥♥♥ out of their games so even a toaster should be able to play it!

It'll obviously look really great, run on any toaster if it has even a crappy GPU and look far better than any recent Cods or other ugly console titles.

And the console parts are just like console ports are supposed to be: Crappy cheap cashgrabs; like the consoles themselves.

I just hope it's solid, in the way that HL2's graphics engine, source, is. It doesn't have to be the absolute best thing out there, it just has to run very well, on as wide a machine range as possible, and look nicer than the old source engine. lol

I dunno I personally thought the Splitscreen co-op was pretty rad in HL2 for PS2. It offered an entirely new experience that wasn't in the PC version. Half Life Decay was such epic sauce.

Wrong! My brand new toaster I got runs it at a totally unplayable 1fpc (frame per century). Here are my toaster's specs:

OS: Wintoast 8.1
Processor: Intoast i7 0.01Ghz
Video Card: AMT Butteron R9 295x with 4 bytes of VRAM
RAM: 2KB
Max Toasting Temperature: 150°C

It won't run even at the lowest settings and a resolution of 80x60. You liar.

And don't tell me my toaster is bad, it's very powerful for a toaster, it can run Pong at a smooth 5fph (frames per hour). Heck, it can run Half Life 1 at 1fpy (frame per year) without catching on fire.
