My Half Life 2 crash

I´m in the anticitizen chapter, but when i will get out the building, have a soldier in the roof, i can kill him and will have another soldier in the right corner, but when i will shoot him my game turned off, and showed me a message "engine error".
My computer is old, but i can play Half Life 2, Portal, Team fortress without problem.
I try play the game in another computer with more power the hardware, a motherboard, vídeo board, processor and more RAM, but it happened again. The same message.
I try contact to STEAM, but they sent me a email with instructions to upgrade my BIOS and drivers, but the problem continues.
Somebody help me?
