Constitution and Ulgrim the Cook
So, if a food ration restores (some) of my constitution, why isnt the soup i'm getting from Ulgrim in Devils Crossing restoring it? Would make sense ;)

Remains to be seen what they intend with Ulgrim. This has been asked countless times and as far as I'm aware they've been mum on the subject. For all we know he could end up being a d-bag like Direni.

Because the whole point of constitution is to prevent abusing the fast healing mechanic. If you could just warp to town and regain your constitution whenever you wanted it would ruin the purpose of constitution.

This is part of why I think the constitution mechanic is pretty dumb overall. This food in town situation is confusing and annoying... and aside from the justification that it is for balance it just doesn't make any sense. Kinda ruins my immersion when food I find in some plague infested basement laboratory is "more filling" and beneficial for me than eating food cooked by a chef in a town.

The devs have recently hinted that Ulgrim "has more important things to do" than cook. I'm beginning to think Ulgrim is a spy for one of the other factions. His story of surviving for months after the fall of Burrwitch on a tiny patch of land is more than a little suspicious..
