Will there ever be more pet skills and passives?
I've always gravitated towards classes that use pets/minions as a major theme. (Theurgist from Titan Quest, for example, or the Necromancer from Diablo 2.)

I'm glad that there are at least some minions, but it's only 2, and they're only for one mastery. Will there ever be more added? I feel that, compared to Titan Quest, the lack of pets is jarring.

Also, I feel that there should be more passive skills. The Soldier and Nightblade are fine passive-wise, but the Demolitionist only has 2, and they both are pretty situational in their effects. And then the Occultist has none at all. I feel that all classes should have at least some decent passives, so that they have more than gear and stat points to rely on to increase in overall power. (For example, the Occultist could have one or more that have to do with mana, either by increasing it, increasing its regeneration, reducing spell costs, or maybe something else.)

A number of items have pets that proc/summon. A necro class is to be made in an expansion i think.

Note: It uses TQ's engine but other than that the game itself is not related to TQ. Just wanted to clarify that :/

I believe the Mortar, Thermite Mines and Blade Spirit are also considered pets. So when the max level is increased it would be an idea to make a Pyromancer for the combination of Hellhound + Fire/Burn damage Aura, Raven, Mortar, and Thermite Mines.

Then with items you could have 2 rings which can summon temporary pets, 1 sword or 2 dual swords that can summon 2 temporary strong pets, a relic that can summon 1 permenant pet, and eventually a shield that can also add another pet.

the new arcanist class which should be released soon might have some new pet related skills, no clue whatsoever if it has though, it seemed lightning themed and the stormcaller? class in Titan Quest did have the whisp at least

They could have made the Occultist a pseudo-summoner if they made its pet summon increase in numbers in higher points investment, like in TQ and the class that summons wolves.

I was expecting the Occultist Raven and Hound to let me make 2 or more of them when I maxed their skill, but no. It might be to overpowered though if they made it that way.

There are plans for a future more summon based mastery that will be added in an expansion.
