character movement - walk cycle
hi.

there was only one thing disturbing me in titan quest: the way, the character moves.
you seem to do it again. it appears off.
even in a fantasy world, one does not move legs like this. unless it has lower gravity? it is hard to explain:
it appears to linear, to easy. and it doesnt fit the torsos movement.

on plane ground this makes the character appear to walk above it, as if there is a little layer of glas. like it iss on a wire. like it does not want to appear natural.
it is not about how fast the character moves in general, rather how it moves while doing so. something is wrong with the relations.

it may be a matter of taste, for sure. but i rather got the impression that you are sticking to your original approach of animating a character, since it looks familiar.

edit: 7-league boots float walk. if i had to name it. with a little bit to much float in the walk.

thanks for taking it into consideration.
looking forward to the release.

I see what you mean. I suppose dust, earth, or water displacement (i.e. splash) on impact would help.

they redid all the animations a while back and the runspeed has look out-of-sync with the gait ever since
