{DAIL MOD} Class combos
Im trying to find a good class combo regarding:

Ranger
Voidcaller
Necromancer
Arch Necromancer
Frost Knight
Grove Keeper
Witch Doctor

Out of these which ones would I combine to make the best combo in your guys opinions?

Also another question, which in general is stronger, Arch or normal Necromancer?

Why not combine Necromancer with Arch Necromancer to become a Demi-Lich? You'll be able to command 10~ minions (not counting minions from items, like the Black Grimoire of Og'Napash)?

Some of the classes in DAIL mod are beyond broken, even for ult difficulty. Combining some just make for an even easier walkthrough.

Necro+ Arch Necro or Spirit does give you a horde of thematic pets if thats youre thing. Void caller is virtually the same thing except with Chaos damage...it also has the beyond broken range lifesteal attack that jumps like chain lightning.

Did you make a choice yet? Currently installing DAIL for SX difficulty (the highest) to see if I can handle it. Gonna see if I can find some fun combos!

ohhh ok i thought it was easyer because the normal game is too difficult for me and i need a easy to play build there.

When you install DAIL, you will be given the option of which version of DAIL you want to install: "NG" is the easiest of them all (Normal Game mob difficulty). This means that DAIL makes the game easier for you because on top of it being Normal Game difficulty, you still get the added bonusses from DAIL's mods. Which did you choose upon install?

From the DAIL creators:

Because it actually sucks. Your DPS blows and the pets take for freaking ever to kill anything - and you spend the entire fight running around recasting them.

One of those classes and the Spirit mastery seems like a good combo - but I haven't tried that yet.

As for the other classes - none of them synergize very well. Though some (like the Ranger - max out the birds early and stand back while they kill everything. But be careful as Reflect will see you dead before you even know there's a problem) are OP enough that its a net power drain to put points in another Mastery.

ok i tryed ranger and hunting. It works very well until i met the fiths boss feom the old scars mission. He was unbeatable and makes a lot of damage.

I only played GD unmodded casually like two years back, so I don't know mechanics very well. So reflect makes your pet damage also reflect back onto you personally? That sounds horrifying against encounters where that appears often.

I'm trying to get back into GD with DAIL, and I have fun trying out different builds but I am having a hard time finding fun or synergizing builds. They don't have to be cookie cutter builds and it's fine if they shine late-game instead of early. I really, really didn't like the Voidcaller's life stealing chain lightning as SpiralRazor mentioned, it's just ridiculous and on top of that, it's not very engaging (Hold the button until everything's dead)

Edit: p.s. I the synergies don't necessarily have to be in the OP's list that he made, but new modded classes definitely take my favor!

Hi guys, sorry for my english but i want to share my DAIL Experience so far.

Started playing DAIL 1 week ago, the mod was a blast and i'm trying some combinations, i tried a Rogue/Grove keeper for the poison sinergy, i want to play a Melee poison/Acid so bad, but Grove Keeper skills are just too "Support" and i actually stop playing it at 55 (But it was working good, very high Poison DOT) i tried a Warfare/Defense mostly for get a good Pierce/Bleeding and using Defense masteries to keep me alive, but i wouldn't do it again, the defense is higly focused on shield and it's not the best pick for a Dual Wield class, now i'm playing a Frost Knight - Soldier (Ice Lord) and it's actually lot of fun, but Cooldowns for Frost Knight are very high so i chose Cadence as LMB, with the transmuter to get 60% Ele damage out of it, working quite well for a 2H Build, biggest problem atm is that there's no DAIL CALC, so Theorycraft it's a bit hard, i usally find hard to find something to keep me alive, i can manage to theorycraft a DMG build with good procs and stuff, but i'm always really squishy, i need to learn lot of game mechanics cause my builds always tend to die fast at higher diff.
I don't like Pets and Casters in general, i love to Autoattack and do it as fast as possible, so i'm always in the middle of the fight, that's why i need good survavibilty and i always fail to do so but i guess i'll find my way soon or later, i just want to make a DAIL Class work in ultimate so i can start to use the Omega mod wich looks good.

EDIT: Direct answer to OP, since frost Knight has a lot of poison damage and grovekeper tends to boost your poison damage they can be a nice combination, no idea on how to equip them tho, FK shine with 2H Melee but you're getting a lot of spirit with that combination, wich may reflect in your prefering some kind of 1H + Tome or something like that

Hey Vikas; have you tried working on your survivability weaknesses by means of life steal? Like, trying items that have it or picking devotion options there with life steal, some more DA here and there, max health etc? I'm very new to DAIL so I have no clue if there's some bonusses there or not.

If you're looking for other survivability options, I remember the Shaman had that vitality totem that's absolutely brutal for survivability, not sure if it's changed or not in DAIL though!

Edit: Wendigo totem -> Blood Pact.

Edit 2: the Devotions Behemoth, Scales of Ulcama, Tree of life are all very excellent for survivability if you're lacking.

Not for pets generally - just the way that particular one seems to work. Its not a pet as such but one of the Devotion powers worked as a summonable.

ok i quit the game it is too difficult for me in DAIL. It seems nothing really works and i dont know if i do have the Normal DAIL.
