Lots :) From Daedalic try Deponia and Edna & Harvey: The Breakout. From Dtp try Gray Matter, Black Mirror 2, Black Mirror 3. Also good are Testament of Sherlock Holmes and Yesterday. :) They can be bought retail, while others can be downloaded from Gamersgate depending on your territory. I am hoping that the Black Mirror games will appear on Steam soon, along with Gray Matter.

The Blackwell Series, Gemini Rue, Monkey Island 1&2, Syberia 1&2 to mention a few. All are on Steam.

Good choices! Also, I would recommend The Lost Crown. Although I have never played it, due to it being a horror title, my sister won't shut up about it.

The classics: Lucasarts Pack is here on Steam, Monkey Island SE Bundle also on Steam. Then, get Gemini Rue and Resonance. Gabriel Knight 1 isn't on Steam but you can get it on gog.com I bet.

Hello all !
You should begin with the Secret of Monkey Island first.
Maniac Mansion is great too but not on steam.
Have fun !

Usually overlooked are "Machinarium" and "Botanicula". 2 (imho) masterpieces from Amanita design :)

Spy Fox and the other Humungous Entertainment games are childhood favourites. And I think some of their music is unrivaled

IMHO, the two best point'n'click adventures ever created are The Longest Journey and Grim Fandango. Sure, there are lots and lots of great games in the genre (a favourite of mine). You should try Sanitarium, Gabriel Knight 1 and 2, Full Throtle, the first Ankh, Tales of Monkey Island, The Walking Dead, A Vampyre Story, The Dig, Syberia, The Legend of Kyrandia II, Runaway... There are, literaly, dozens of great adventures around. You could also try Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy and Dreamfall, both great games and adventures, but not traditional point'n'clicks. I also reinforce the previous suggestions of Gemini Rue, Monkey Island 1 and 2, Machinarium, Botanicula, Gray Matter, Deponia and Yesterday. You won't find all these games on Steam, but most are here, and even those which aren't here are worth playing, maybe you could try to find 'em on gog.com or somewhere else.

If you're interested in Adventures you should consider joining our adventure group here on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/adventureren

Syberia is a series I'd definitely get during the sale.

I didn't like a lot of the games other people did.
Deponia, Book of written tales, most pendulo games -- they all have way too many grossly unintuitive puzzles.

I did like edna & harvey, Gemini Rue, Yesterday.
Last testment & jack the ripper are two good sherlock games, the rest are a waste.
Chapter 3 of dream machine was good..
Clockwork man: hidden world is good, but the original clockwork man is bad

About Leisure Suit Larry, I'd say to wait a bit. Replay Games managed to get funding on a Kickstarter project last year to remake the first one (and Al Lowe, the series creator, is involved in this project). I'm following the development and things are looking good. If you're interested, they have a page on Greenlight (here on Steam), check it out.

Also, in the two months that passed after my original post here, I played "The Journey Down: Chapter One" and it is a very interesting game. Still incomplete (in the sense that it's an episodic game and there's only one chapter ready) but it has a great character design based on african tribal masks, an amazing soundtrack (combining jazz and reggae) and a potentially good story (though we'll have to wait for the next chapters to check if it'll live it up to it's potential).
