Is this game a Sequel or a Prequel to The Breakout?

I beat The Breakout, and Edna seems to be a lot younger in Harvey's New Eyes. However, based on The Breakout's story, I don't really see how HNE can fit either before, or after... Of course I just started playing HNE, so maybe some stuff is explained later on.

It's a sequel. The fact that Edna seems younger might be due to the better/changed graphics.
I think it's stated pretty much in the start of the game that Dr. Marcel dedicated his work to difficult children since the day a girl (=Edna) shoved him down the stairs.
