Resolution settings
=====================================
Until the options wall in the game is redone to support more resolutions, you can get around this problem by opening *installdir*/UDKGame/Config/DefaultEngine.ini and changing the following lines, at the bottom of the file:
[SystemSettings]
UseVsync=True
CompositeDynamicLights=False
ResX=1280
ResY=720
Fullscreen=True
Change ResX (width), ResY (height) and FullScreen values to the desired resolution values. This may help anyone who tries to run the game and only sees a black screen, as the game did not originally display in a supported resolution.
2) Your keyboard
As for "Escape button to leave the game"... read the controls on the wall... it specifically shows the "Esc" button with the text "Hold to quit"
Wow this was a hard one... those games are getting much too much too difficult these days! :-D
To enable console commands:
antichamber\UDKgame\Config\defaultinput.ini
search for "consolekey"
either delete or comment out the following two lines (NOTE! these commands are in the file twice. Once with Tilde and Tab as the value. LEAVE THE FIRST SET ALONE):
ConsoleKey=none
TypeKey=None
(comment out means type a ; at the beginning of the line, example below)
;ConsoleKey=none
;TypeKey=None
when enabled, in game, press ~ or Tab and type "FOV 106" hit enter.
106 will give you equal vertical view in 21:9 as you had with the standard 16:9 resolutions.
When you enable the console you can also use "setres" command to change the resolution. example: setres 3440x1440
All that being said... in this particular game, there is honestly no reason to do any of this. You gain absolutely no benefit and the viewing or player experience is not improved (again, with this particular game). Also, If you try to make the FOV too large it will result in stretching at the left and right of the screen (gives me headaches).
Thanks for the info!
