no exact date was given and thats to be exspected, Antichamber was a game that wasnt released untill it was ready, im sure the dev will do the same for external controller support. unless its 100% he wont release it, and you cant put a date on that.
being made by one man is no excuse when its $20. if it was cheaper id be inclined to agree.
Please be patient. I know that people have issues, and I know people paid money for the game, though I also had a whole lot more stuff to deal with immediately following on from the launch, and was just generally exhausted, as none of this is easy. That makes initial updates slower, but everything moves way faster once I've had time to recover and am back to working at full speed again. Working through burnout / crunch over extended periods of time is only going to make things move slower.
The game crashing when using the gun under normal circumstances (e.g. to solve some of the puzzles) is something that affects anyone who is playing the game, that was otherwise working fine for them up to that point. I am receiving far more support emails from people having issues with that than I am about people not being able to play with a controller, that wasn't supported in the first place.
I understand your frustration, and am working on resolving the issue. Please be patient.
That's why I love indie games. :)
edit: @Senen you sound like a douchebag why don't you go make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game with an extremely small dev team
Read his post again. He was complimenting Alexander for supporting people who bought the game instead of being greedy. Now YOU are the douchebag.
Also, controler support is a good thing for Big Picture, I would love to play some Antichamber on my couch :D
for those that don't fully understand the subtlety: controllers provide a set of tradeoffs many are interested in relative to an equivalent but different set of tradeoffs of a keyboard/mouse configuration. the primary goal was to have an experience my wife and i could share on the big screen and in the living room, when i showed her the preview her reaction was 'that looks really amazing and i would really like to play that'. additionally, i have been able to get her to game in this setting but she is not familiar keyboards and mice for gaming.
i, just as a matter of preference after 30+ years of gaming, prefer the console experience to the mouse/keyboard and know many others who feel different.
as a customer i am flattered that alexander took the time to respond, i can't imagine the pressure you are under. look fwd to the updates.
Cheers.
Come on, 20$ is a couple of beers.
