Link to a Chain Reaction (Seriously please help)
Alright I MUCH prefer this puzzle to Lighting a Fuse, and I'm sure I'm overcomplicating it, but any hints to help with this? (Since, you know, the game conveniently didn't give one for this as far as I can tell)

Seriously anything will help I'm incapable of doing anything else at this point and I dont want to stop the game righ tnow.
SERIOUSLY I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR HALF AN HOUR SOMEONE PLEASE HELP AUGH
Heh, sorry, I didn't notice your thread.
I think you just have to grab the middle block in the cross and with the middle-mouse button, then drag it away from the door, which will cause all of the blocks to move with it.

Hope this helps!
Okay, so you just got the yellow gun right?

You have to use it to solve this puzzle.
No, I don't have the yellow gun yet; I get to it by solving this puzzle.

At least, that's what it looks like.

Oh, I got the yellow gun just before this puzzle, I'm pretty sure that this puzzle can't be solved without the yellow gun.
if thats the case im probably going to scream literally
Ah, sorry about that, I don't remember how you get the yellow gun, but it is required for this puzzle. =/
You usually get the yellow gun by doing "Lighting a Fuse", this is also where you meet the game's final boss for the first time! (I think...) :O
you dont need yellow gun to solve Lighting A Fuse(ofcourse it gets a bit harder)!
do you know the green gun gives you the ability that erase the smaller chunk automatically when you right-click on the chunk?
yes, now you know, then make the "fuse" and "light" it up!
oh, maybe you need hold each door open by placing some block in this way solving...
It's possible to solve this one without the yellow gun, as I did it with the green one.

It just took me ages, and I actually got annoyed enough to email the developer about it. I knew *what* I needed to do, and how, but the lack of feedback was driving me nuts.

The following spoilers get more spoiler-y as you go down.

If you place a line of blocks next to each other, then remove a block near the middle, you'll usually cause one or both of those lines to disolve in a chain reaction.

All four of those paths need to be emptied at the very end of them.

Do you see anything different about each little block chute? What's different between, say, the top one and the one on the right?

Some chutes are longer than others.

The door won't stay open very long.

It's all about timing.

The first time you remove the center block, each chain reaction reaches the end of the chute at a *different* time than the others. This is bad.

Try counting blocks.

The next line is the answer.

Count the number of blocks in the longest chute, count the number of blocks in the shortest. Try to make a chain between the two of them that has a middle block where each chain is exactly the same length, so the top chute will have a longer chain coming out of it, the one on the right will have a shorter one. Now try to connect all four together, using the same technique. Eventually you'll find a combination of external chains that, when you remove the block near where they all meet (it doesn't have to be exact) the door will open for a brief moment. Be there trying to walk through it when it opens.

This is a puzzle that I should probably make 1 block more lenient with the timing. It was made to test your knowledge of chains, but I agree is much harder than Lighting the Fuse was. Slightly adjusting the timing on it will help the issue.
I played around with the approach Alex designed (with the Green Gun), but failed to accurately build the chains. In frustration, I simply joined the four 'fuses' at their natural midpoint (with a lengthy tail extending towards the entrance door to allow all four fuses to disintigrate) and then rapidly right clicked on the four fuse links in longest -> shortest order and it worked. It would be preferable to wait until you have the Yellow gun. Once I read that option I wished I had waited.

As an aside, thanks to Alex for an amazing game! I'm four exits from (I assume) completion and absolutely love it!

I got rather frustrated at this one too, but only because I had the Green Gun when I did it. I saw after two fuse attempts that it was going to be an annoying counting and building test. I decided to go do other puzzles first. Eventually I came back to it and still had the green gun. I find that building blocks exactly where I want is still a tedious task. Looking back though, it wouldn't be hard at all once you have the yellow gun. It is great that many of these puzzles can be manhandled with the earlier guns.
I solved this puzzle just now with the green gun... it was annoying, definitely the hardest puzzle I've solved so far. I now have the yellow gun... but I'm confused as to how it would've been easier to solve with the yellow gun, since all it seems to do is let you move blocks behind glass, which hardly would've been helpful. And I haven't even encountered this "Lighting a Fuse" puzzle everyone seems to keep talking about!
