Is this game making anyone else physically nauseous?
I rarely get motion sickness, but after 20 minutes of playing the game I feel physically ill. I love the concept and have been patiently waiting to play this game for a long time, so I'm really disappointed =/

It does to me, but it's not uncommon for me to feel nauseous from games. I can't finish playing Okami for this reason :(
Highduke 31 ENE 2013 a las 19:24
Yup, and for some reason im loving every second of it.

Yeah, I actually do get a little nauseated while playing. Testiment to how good it is that I want to keep playing anyway. Just in shorter doses.

I actually felt sick just from watching tb wtf video. :(

Is there a FOV control? Increasing that will sometimes stop this problem for me.
kraedy 1 FEB 2013 a las 4:53
Low FOV is more likely to cause eye strain than nausea. I'd guess it's the extreme headbobbing that is causing the problem.

I have no idea how to disable it though.

Yeah, the nausea got so bad it forced me to stop playing. Any ideas how to fix it?

When i saw this game at PAX east 2012, a guy had played it for 10 minutes went to get up and fell over lol
Turn_on_a_Dime 1 FEB 2013 a las 18:14
The FOV is a bit narrow, and the colours are pretty ... unconventional.
I just dropped down from full screen to a smaller window and it was fine.

Yeah after long playing perioids 1-2 hours, I start to feel a bit ill, but the game is good enough to just put up with it.
Rich 1 FEB 2013 a las 21:33
Yes very. Was excited to start playing but now I have a headache and feel sick. Steam says I played a whopping 12 minutes. Kinda bummed.
Kought 1 FEB 2013 a las 22:41
You can fix the FOV by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\UDKGame\Config and opening UDKInput.ini

Add in the bindings section the following:

Bindings=(Name="F11",Command="Fov 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)

Save the file, load the game, and hit F11. Your game will now have a field of view that will not make you puke.

Just as a thought, could FOV screw up any of the game mechanics that involve looking/not looking at things? Perhaps not break them entirely, but make them look strange, such as being able to see things you shouldn't?
Luna ♥ 1 FEB 2013 a las 22:59
Yup increasing the FOV could just make the puzzles seem strange. one example The room Now You See It normally changes the door when you AREN'T looking at it, but you will be able to see it change with a higher FOV I am the only one spoiler tagging spoilers aren't I?

That's interesting. I've never got any bad feeling from the game through the hours.
