Number rooms (spoiler)
So somehow i managed to get from room 2 to 5 without seeing 3 or 4. Is that normal or did i miss something?

It's normal to encounter segments of the number tower in random order. Just keep exploring.

Do you mean the segment of rooms that lead you from puzzle to puzzle? I think that if you look at the cube from a different angle it might give you a different number.

Not that exactly. I actually ended up beating the game a bit ago, and never visited rooms 3 or 4. And i never found the red gun. So I guess its possible to beat the game without large sections of the game being done.

wait a second, how did you beat the game without the red gun? that must've been really tricky to do :P As for the number towers, you can visit them in any order that you like

I actually never knew the red gun existed till after i finished. And i can only think of one challenge that even would have helped me with it.

The tower rooms all teleport you to different places in the maze, and face you towards the puzzle that leads to the next level of the tower. This means that you can access all the tower rooms from just solving the appropriate puzzle in the maze without seeing the previous level, and that you can stop solving the tower and instead explore other sections of the part of the maze you've teleported to.

So yes, it is normal to accidentally head the wrong direction and skip a tower level or two by finding another level's entrance instead.

It's most annoying when you fail to find the bottom level though.

The red gun is not really necessary for all but 2 or 3 puzzles, and it makes the final stage's puzzles much easier.
