Is this a glitch or intended mechanics? (Final gun spoilers)
Are you suppose to be able to make infinite blocks from two with the red gun, or is it unintended? I'm glad I finished the game before discovering it, because it makes many puzzles completely trivial and disappointing.

Intentional

Huh, interesting. I guess being able to breeze through some puzzles is a "reward" for discovering it? Does anything in the game hint about performing this trick?

You can grow a garden anywhere.

The mechanics of the gun are required for some of the later puzzles

Τhis is actually a quote on one of the paintings. And is really giving you the hint like throwing you a brick to your face.

I'm not refering to making a square of blocks (what the garden is talking about), I specifically mean creating infinite blocks from exactly two blocks, a red gun exclusive.
Nanomusheens Apr 17, 2013 @ 3:22am
it is supposed to do that
Breadfish Apr 17, 2013 @ 3:56am
It's intentional (I think) and you do need it in some puzzles.

Well, It's intentional but it's also true that it makes everything even TOO MUCH EASY.
I mean, I know that "I can do everything" with the red gun but since there are many puzzles you can skip... almost the 80% of the game becomes useless after the first part...

Perhaps it makes it easy, but any puzzle the red gun makes trivial is a puzzle you've probably already solved. If you want to properly replay them you'll have to restart.

I managed to complete most of the game before even getting the red gun, and the few puzzles that remained for me pretty much required ridiculous amounts of red blocks. I'd say that this is a feature, not a bug. If you think about how the red gun works it actually makes a lot of sense that you can make as many as you want with two blocks.

The puzzle which hints at this is the red cube side of Laying The Foundation (although this puzzle gives you four cubes not two; same concept though)

Alright, so, I just played through the game a second time (trying to see if beating it before the countdown finished did anything :P) and I found a specific puzzle where you're actually given 2 red cubes, and you have to fill a large area. It is clearly an intended mechanic. The 2 red cubes are non-respawning I might add
