I hear ya man, just picked it up during the Sale and am a new babi boy now that I learned how to walk 100 ft. in the air :D

I understand it perfectly fine.

The game is actually not that hard. If you don't come with expectation, and are observant, most puzzles shouldn't resist you long. The game has been careful designed, the difficulty is very progressive, and there are many hints/clever room design that will point you toward the right direction.
I just played it for the first time, finished it in one setting, in 5-6h.

I always end up falling back to that red/blue hallway.

Just don't go straight to the walkthroughs out on the interwebs... the puzzles are all solvable. But it often takes looking at something a different way. If you feel stuck, quit the game. Get a cup of coffee... go for a walk... look out a window... then log back in, you will be surprised how your brain figures out a new way around.

If you start using walkthroughs, you won't train yourself how to speak the language of the game.

I agree with Go Go Go. I've gotten stuck a few times in this game, and a good walk (or smoke break if you are of age) can really help clear your mind. This game isn't meant to be done with the help of walkthroughs, you need to complete it yourself.

A vast majority of the puzzles in this game you don't actually need to solve, although it did take me 5 hours to beat on my first try.

I'm actually stuck too. I really like this game and it started off very easy, but after you progress it gets damn complicated with too many rooms and stuff. I really don't know where to go next. This is actually very tricky, because in games like (for example) Tomb Raider you were aware where to search for a solution.

Now this isn't even the worst part of the problem. The fact, that the "chambers" reset themselves is actually my biggest issue. If you ask me, this is pure BS and it destroys the experience, I should be able to move more or less free around without having to complete puzzles each time I want to go through.

IMO the game is way too hard for the average gamer if you ask me.

Possible SPOILER question:
Have you guys seen that room where you can't get out and there is a weird chart on the ceiling? Any ideas what it means?

Also, Antichamber is an exploration game, it's not about solving a set of linear progressing puzzles. There is a sort of linearity to the overall set of puzzles with each of the guns, but within a gun's set of possible puzzles to complete, there is open range to try and figure out where to go.

Interesting, I knew it was something about programming and colour though.

I'm not really critisizing this aspect. But making it a "open world" exploration doesn't mean it needs to be that hard. I'm kinda out of ideas and just randomly doing random stuff for now. "Halfway through"...yeah, the cake is a lie.

1) beat Antechamber.
2) finish reading House of Leaves.
3) drink 4 cups of coffee made with Red Bull instead of water.
4) discover the secrets of the universe.

Even after you "100%" Antichamber, there is more to find. Simply filling up the wall of signs is not 100%. There are also 15 hidden pink cubes to obtain (although only 13 of them are possible to find without glitches or console commands, this will hopefully be fixed/patched sometime soon).

It's meant to be hard. That's the whole point of the "psychological" aspect of the game.

I am about Half way through and I am really enjoying it. It reminds me of Portal but at the same time it is completly different. Anyway I agree with Go go go completing a puzzel without a walkthrough gives you a sence of acheivement and I strongly discourage using a walktough. it is definatly worth the five bucks and if you don't understand its point then well... read previous posts!!!

You can just click the rooms on the map. Sometimes the name of the room is a hint.

The point I'm trying to make, is that it's not fun anymore when the game is too hard, meaning when even after 2 hours I'm still stuck and try hard without getting anywhere. Again I don't mind it being hard, I mind it being not possible to solve for me even after a long time. Who likes an unsolvable game?
Maybe I'm just dumb or too restrictive in terms of AC logic...

Yes, but as I said the rooms reset, which is a big problem
